On your Galaxy smartphone, open up the Galaxy Wearable app. Then, tap on the Settings option. Tap on About Watch and then Backup and restore. Now, tap on Backup settings. Finally, you can move the sliders back and forth to choose which data you want to backup. When you’re done selecting that, press the button that says BACK UP NOW.
On your linked phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app. Open the menu by tapping the three-bar icon. To disconnect, click the button next to your Galaxy Smart Watch. Use your watch now. Restart the phone and link the devices once more if the watch touchscreen functions are perfectly fine without the phone.
What has worked for me so far after resetting and pairing, is to immediately go to Google play on the watch and disable automatic updates. Then update all relevant apps manually but not Google Assistant, Google Maps and Android Accessibility Suite. 2. gandrared.
